Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. When I graduated at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. While in Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. It will have a significant impact on how Burrell cooks. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with others.
