Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actor from Canada. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! From 2009 to 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards in the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she received a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She also starred as Annika Johnson on the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has starred on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos, and George Spiridakos, both of whom were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family moved to Skala in Greece in the south of Sparta just after her birth. In 1992 the family returned to Canada. She is strongly connected to her Greek family and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at junior high school. Then she attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Winnipeg in 2007 to pursue acting. She was able to get her first television role on Supernatural within weeks. She continued to appear on television, with walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was part of the TV film Goblin and in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also played a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she was awarded her first starring role in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut was in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she played alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags which was an Nickelodeon original movie. The role of Charlotte Matheson who is a survivor living in a dystopian future civilisation, was her lead on the NBC TV show Revolution. She was a candidate for the role during her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta, and filmed the first season in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She lost out to Fringe's Anna Torv. In the second season production moved to Austin Texas.
