Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born on November 25 1968 is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is most famous for her performances in American television shows Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She also appeared as acting in movies such as RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted as well as independent films Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The job required significant travel , which meant the family had to move frequently. Her mother, Maxine, a secretary was a divorcee in 1982 leaving her daughter to be partially taken care of by her paternal grandmother, Eleanor and her family in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister. She is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian descendents from her father's and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She would busk in Toronto's subway. Hennessy, her sister and their first acting role was as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who was ultimately chosen for the part, claimed that she was shortlisted to portray Dana Scully in The X-Files. She played the character for three seasons before resigning the show in the year 1996.
