Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on May 12, 1972. She is most famous for her role as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was recognized with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She was also on NBC's Whitney (2011–2013), ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised by a family that was constantly moving, including the cities of Washington, D.C., Arizona as well as Japan. Following in the footsteps of her mother and father who were artists, she began studying painting, drawing and architecture at an early age. She continued pursuing the art of drawing, but also developed an increasing interest in acting and was introduced to contemporary theater in college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. In college, Seehorn was looking to get into theater, after being encouraged by her acting coach. To get noticed she was employed in the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theatre industry. Although she eventually managed to secure major roles in local theater productions and had be able to find odd jobs to survive however, she continued working in the field of film as an instructional filmmaker. She soon began to be involved in more TV productions. She was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom she described as "very humorous," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women. These roles are usually ended after only one to two seasons. Seehorn was cast in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest of Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
